Secondary

Cedaville Secondary Schools aim at improving the creative and innovative abilities of students and teachers, as well as expanding the level of Science and Mathematics teaching and learning. Our curriculum provides an academically challenging, yet fun experience. This addresses various learning styles, thereby developing intellectual curiosity and the life skills required for successful learning. It promotes the development of clear and independent thinkers in preparation for the next stage of the child’s academic pursuit.

We desire for our students to listen attentively in the class, collaborate with their peers and learn how to study. With the advancement in technology, we want students to be confident in their use of various devices as they are with their books.

JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL (Year 7 – Year 9)
The class of entrance into Cedarville Secondary School is Year 7. From the first year, our students are introduced to the rudiments of advanced studies in English, Mathematics, and Science and Technology. They are guided with Checkpoint by the best tutors in the field. At the end of the third year, our students sit for the Checkpoint Examination. The Checkpoint Examination is in preparation for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination because it helps us to understand the students’ strengths and weaknesses beforehand. After the conclusion of the third year, there is a promotion to the Senior Secondary School which starts from Year 10.

SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL (Year 10 – Year 12)
The school teaches a fusion of the British and the Nigerian curricula but at an advanced level for Year 10 to Year 12. This is achieved by integrating the British curriculum into the Nigerian curriculum. These curricula prepare our students for IGCSE organized by Cambridge, West African Senior Secondary School Examinations organized by WAEC and Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations organized by NECO.
